16V, 25A fully integrated synchronous step-down converter with PMBus interface
IS6612A is a high power density, fully integrated synchronous step-down converter. It integrates MOSFETs, supports a wide input voltage range, and can support a continuous output current of up to 25A. Its operating frequency range is from 300kHz to 1.5MHz. To maximize efficiency, an external bias can be selected. The differential sensing scheme and the internal feedback reference voltage achieve an output voltage tolerance of ±1% over the entire temperature range.
The IS6612A features excellent line and load regulation, enabling ultra-fast transient response. It adopts an energy-saving solution, significantly enhancing the efficiency at light loads. The IS6612A also supports PMBus serial interface communication, using pin binding and non-volatile memory (NVM) for configuration parameters. Additionally, it provides remote readings of IOUT, VOUT, VIN, duty cycle, and temperature.
The IS6612A integrates comprehensive protection functions, including valley current overcurrent protection (OCP), negative overcurrent protection (NOCP), overvoltage protection (OVP), undervoltage protection (UVP), and overtemperature protection (OTP). These protection responses can be programmed via PMBus, including Miss, Latch Off, and Hiccup. The IS6612A is packaged in a 5mm x 7mm high-efficiency heat dissipation efficiency package.
