IS6203A is a dual output digital multi-phase buck controller designed for CPU voltage regulation, compatible with PMBus/AVSBus/SVID protocol. The chip can be configured with up to two outputs, Loop 1 can be configured with 12-phase operation, and Loop 2 can be configured with 6-phase operation. Equipped with a QFN-48(6mm x 6mm) package, it can achieve excellent efficiency over the entire load range based on dynamic phase control of the load current.
The IS6203A uses the TCOTTM control mode unique to JMC to provide fast transient response, supporting 127 address values of the two PMBus bus interfaces. Device configuration can be defined using the Innovision GUI and stored in on-chip non-volatile memory (NVM) to reduce external components and minimize packaging.
In addition, the IS6203A provides a wide range of fault protection, including output overvoltage protection (OVP), undervoltage protection (UVP), overcurrent protection (OCP), overtemperature protection (OTP), and, when coupled with smart power stages, thermistor based temperature sensing or maximum temperature reporting. IS6203A supports a series of intelligent power level products with different current and package specifications from JMW to realize the power requirements of high power, low voltage and high current in server, data center and other applications.
