IS6105A is a hot plug protection device with integrated 1.2mΩ power MOSFET and PMBusTM interface, with maximum 50A DC current monitoring function. The 4 mm x 5 mm 24-pin FCQFN package is designed to protect the load circuit from sudden changes in the input power supply. The device also protects the input from output short circuits and transients.

IS6105A is equipped with a current monitoring function (IMON), which generates a voltage proportional to the device current by utilizing an external resistance from the IMON to the ground. By using an integrated power MOSFET with a low RDS_ON of 1.2mΩ, the IS6105A is equipped with an advanced on-chip current sampling technology. Can effectively read and limit the current. In addition, the device supports a programmable current limiting function to regulate the current limiting value through an external resistor connected from the ISET pin to the GND. The user can limit the surge current by programming the output voltage rise slope through the SS pin connected to the external capacitor.

IS6105A is compatible with PMBusTM interface. It can read current, voltage, temperature and input power information from internal ADC, and enable output capacitor discharge when the device is deactivated. At the same time, IS6105A also has a complete set of protection functions, including current limiting protection (OCP), over temperature protection (OTP), over voltage protection (OVP) and under voltage protection (UVP), so as to further ensure the stability and security of the system.
